With the ongoing financial concerns faced by many businesses today, we entered the old year with some trepidation and took a very cautious approach as to which type of project we would undertake, or perhaps would best be suited for in the current economic climate.

I am happy to report that the year turned out considerably better than anticipated, in that 2 large projects of over £1m, along with a considerable number of smaller projects were awarded to Stark.

Completed projects Included a half million pound construction of a unique Equine Centre close to Ascot, where the most sophisticated level of equipment was sourced and specified for the specialised treatment of horses and almost a half million pound residential refurbishment to one of London’s most prestigious apartment blocks.

I would therefore personally like to thank all those past and our new customers who had faith in us to deliver their projects on time and to budget, and to all of our staff for putting in the necessary effort , sometimes beyond the call of duty, to make this year a success. I would also like to single out Sam Brewster for project managing several successful projects in his first year in the job, Joanne Cardosi for putting up with all of us, and still beating her sales targets, and finally the “in house” IT team for producing yet another award winning web site for us.

With such a large number of new orders secured we are now looking forward to a very successful new year.
